UFEMJ determines first options for cooperation with EJTA – another outcome of DESTIN project
UKRAINIAN FORUM FOR EDUCATORS IN MEDIA AND JOURNALISM (UFEMJ) is mapping its first steps in cooperation with EUROPEAN JOURNALISM TRAINING ASSOCIATION (EJTA).
After a successful participation of professor Svitlana Beschentnikova, an UFEMJ representative from Mariupol state university, at the EJTA assembly this month, Ivan Franko national university of Lviv organized a briefing for the rest of the organization participants.
This activity is considered to be a part of a sustainability track of the DESTIN project – due to partnering institutions obligations.
During the meeting Svitlana Beschentnikova provided the colleagues with a detailed report on her speech in front of EJTA members.
At the same time, she shared the variety of possible projects that are currently being held by EJTA in order to enhance the profession in Ukraine and strengthen each university as a solid component of the Consortium – despite the actual Russian aggression.
Namely these are such projects as «EU-factcheck», «Invisible cities».
On the other hand, all UFEMJ members are welcome to participate in submission of new grant applications in partnership with EJTA and there is also a possibility for Ukrainian students to participate in free master classes of colleagues from European universities during till the end of June 2022.
Due to the lack of time the majority of UFEMJ members has chosen predominantly current projects and are considering the possibility of join grant application. But the masterclasses for students are also a vital option for a forthcoming academic year.
